My First Giveaway.

Come one, come all, come win the most fabulous of fantastical cookware items EVER! :) Okay, so I might be exaggerating a teeny, tiny bit, but I really do LOVE these fabulous items Cookware.com has so graciously donated to moi, to giveaway to you, the reader. :) Can you say, 'yay'?

Again, this site is connected to several others that offer everything from kids beds to sweet wine racks to bar stools and, my favorite, globes. That's right. I said it. I have a thing for globes. Not just any globe, mind you, but the kind you might find in a Beauty and the Beast Library kind of globe. You know, the kind of regal library with books that span floor to ceiling, and you need a ladder on a rolling track to navigate through the room and read the special dewy decimal system?! sigh. THAT is the kind of globe I want. Moving on...

The giveaway includes the three items above in the depicted color (Caribbean Blue). It's such a happy color. I must say, while I do not have the items in Caribbean Blue, I do have them in Flame and use them ALL THE TIME. That is, I did use my small spatula all the time, until Homer ate it. Which is another post entirely. The 9 x 13 dish is fabulous for Ham Loaf, Roasting veggies and Carrot Puff Casseroles for church events. Mine cleans quickly and looks unused after being tested for three years. And, trust me, it has been used. The small spatula is just the right size for scraping gooey pie filling out of a can and into a pan or spreading a mix in tight corners. The spoon spatula. Oh. The spoon spatula. I cannot tell you the love affair I have with this item. It's a rubber scraper and serving spoon in one. GENIUS I tell you. BUT, the best and most fantastical part of these spatulas - the scraper part pulls off the wooden handle for cleaning. This means, the silicone heads can be dropped in the dishwasher on hi-temp wash whilst you hand wash the wooden handle. After the dishwasher is done the two can be re-united in sanitized blissdom. Sigh, and all will be right with the world again. :)

Okay. So. Enough about my creepy love for all things Le Creuset.

The giveaway rules:

1. Leave a comment answering this question: If you could re-paint/decorate your kitchen what would the color be?? (I'm secretly gathering ideas for my dated mauve-counter-topped kitchen...)

2. Leave your email or a way to contact you in the comment as well.

3. If you want another entry, become a fan of emily's eye photography on facebook, then leave me a comment again so I know.

4. If you want another entry, write a blog post linking to this giveaway post, then leave me a comment again so I know.

5. If you want a fourth entry, become a follower of my blog and, wait for it...leave me a comment again so I know. :)

6. The giveaway is open starting now until April 8th at midnight. I will select the winner using random.org and make the announcement promptly (or not so promptly if you know me) the morning of April 9th.

7. If you've stuck with me this long - you are awesome. :)

If you have ANY QUESTIONS, or found a BIG HOLE in my giveaway guidelines, PLEASE TELL ME. I am a giveaway virgin, and don't really know what I'm doing! :)

Hi Emily, I've been your blog stalker ever since Suzy started her blog. So here I am commenting just so I can win something...
I love my kitchen color, I just painted it a grass green. However, if I could, I would rip out all the cabinets, get new ones in a medium cherry and get light grayish/blackish marble countertops. And repaint my walls silver sage. What a pipe dream....
My email is abbynoelb@gmail.com. Maybe we will meet again soon!

Em,

I read your blog everyday and look forward to learning what's happening in your life. It always brings a smile to my face and usually a little chuckle! If you have not posted for the day, I usu. go back to old posts and re-read them for the stories. It always brings a smile to my face :)

Kitchen color - I really like a cheery yellow. Something that brightens the room and you can always add fun blues, greens, or red to the accent for a fab room! Of course, the red would be my fav to add and you can do SO much these days in a cheap fashion (for those os uf on a budget).

I love the cookware and def. need some good cookware - so I finally am posting a comment on your blog. I have been a bit jealous of my friends who have great cookware!

Well, best get on to adding more things to get more than one entry :)

Love Ya,
Nettie

hmm, if I were to repaint my kitchen it would definitely be the Martha Stewart pale aquamarine. I am not sure what the true color name is but it is gorgeous and calming.

ohhh, i'm loving the cookware and the color! i think that would be a fabulous color for your kitchen. i love my pear green kitchen color and would recommend it. also, i think you should get some fabric for a window curtain above the sink (i'm not sure what it looks like now) and maybe that would inspire you to pull a color from that which you like! :) it's good to have inspiration!

PS i'm already a fan of EE on FB :)

Em - Love the new banner!!

Kitchen color - I love mine right now - Tuscan feel with burnt oranges, browns, and lots of rod iron (I have a thing for rod iron...just ordered the best new basket for fruit). One day I will buy some new dishes that actually match my house but right now I am in the process of overhauling my bedroom.

Follow your blog all the time and look forward to the fun stories. I could really use the spatulas - mine are about 10 years old and are really, really showing their wear (ie: completely falling apart!).

This is when my boycot on facebook causes me issues...I lose an opportunity...bummer!

Have a fabulous week!

Hey there lady, Just clicked over and You are having a giveaway!? Super fun!

How could I NOT love that blue too!? Awesome.

OK, your question: we have a yellow/beige neutral with dark granite and small granite tiles as a backsplash. If I could redo it, I'd probably add a pop of color to the backsplash tiles. Maybe some suble darker reds.

Erg. I just clicked to follow you! However, my picture is NOT showing up on my profile!? So weird. I'm going to go and try fix it now!

Vintage Dutch Girl said...

There, fixed it! Now I'm following you TWICE :)

Hi Em -
So here I am staying late after work, just to leave a comment...and have to say, getting a wee bit inspired to redecorate the kitchen (and living room - since they connect)...and lets not forget about the awesome cookware!

I love the old/new nostalgic prints in the orange, pear green and turqouise color. Lots of fabrics and patterns (on chairs and windows)...and if the money permitted, new cabinets (a must)! ...but that also means the living room would have to be redecorated to coordinate in some fashion. Hmmm... I am thinking a new project for this summer!

By the way, Rhyan was singing Nellieanne's name all the way home the other night. I tell ya, she's crazy about her!

...and already a fan of Em's Eye Photography on facebook...and think you know how to get ahold of me! Love your blog and the smiles and laughs it brings when I get the opportunity to read it!

Love ya!

Ahhh I love that cookware! What a great giveaway! If I could re-do our kitchen with guts, I would love to try a super-crazy turquoise. I know, I know, but in my head, it's so pretty and would make me happy during those long winter months. :)

If I was working on our kitchen, after putting in new appliances I would go for a light yellow to balance the old world brown and tan tile work to create a Tuscan look. Right after I win the lottery.

And I became on Facebook. And I'm a follower. And, if I hadn't waited till the last minute, I would have posted a blog entry. Still might.

This dish seems like it would be the bomb for your ham sandwiches. Now those sound good.

Ok...needed to find another way to get an additional entry in before the deadline - so I am now an official follower of your blog.

Also thinking more about your mauve countertops....if you were going to keep them and try a new color around them - choc brown and tan are the colors to add......
