okay ladies, the crafts are on their last fixes today! :)
i knew i wanted to write a short note or two about Thanksgiving. afterall, i do believe it's my favorite holiday. my husband would argue that Christmas is my favorite, but really, it's Thanksgiving. all the food, family, sleeping, movie-watching and love you can imagine brimming with the anticipation for Christmas. and, isn't the anticipation a large chunk of what holidays are about?? both Easter and Christmas are chalk full of anticipation, for Christ the King to come and Christ the King to rise from the dead. so, here i am, steadfastly celebrating the anticipation of Christmas.
anyway, where i originally was going with this little blurb, was toward a definition of family. which, in reality, was a small link to another blog. jen said it so well that i couldn't help borrow her emotions.
"There's more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we're hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we're never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can't round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!" Romans 5:3 (The Message)
